
1. See the Canyon for the first time
A short distance from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center is Mather Point, this is where you want to take in your first view of the Canyon. It is the deepest part of the Grand Canyon. After which, why not take a walk along the Rim Trail (0.7 mi/1.1 km), hop on a shuttle, or head over to Yavapai Point. Be sure to visit Yavapai Geology Museum and use your binoculars to look at Phantom Ranch and the Colorado River. Allow 25 minutes to 2 and a half hours depending on how much you wanna do.
